Membership Meetings

  CWA Local 3640 Membership Meeting

December 13, 2011

Call to Order: 12:07pm.

Pledge of Allegiance

Chairperson: Executive Vice President Vickey Hoots

E-Board in attendance: Darla Meyer, Paul Lindner, Jerry Lindsay, Ralph Roby,and Lisa Zeiset.

E-Board not in attendance: Vonda Hardy (PHX bargaining), Lori Manuel (vac).

Darla read the minutes of the November 8th 2011 Membership meeting. Paul

Lindner motioned to accept the minutes as read with a second from Tracy Binkley.

Motion carried: 7 for 0 against.

Darla went over and discussed the financial report for November 2011. Ralph Roby motioned to accept

the financial report with a second from Tracy Binkley.

Motioned carried: 7 for 0 against.

Report of Officers: Vickey reported Vonda is in PHX bargaining and will postupdates on the website. Vickey let everyone know that since management can access our website, not everything will be posted.

Report of Committees: Jerry discussed the Mobilization training that he and Vickey attended in DCA. With the contract bargaining our goal is to get everyone on board to stand together in unity.

Unfinished Business: Vickey read the motion passed by the E-Board to change the by-laws to reflect Membership meetings to be held bi-monthly.

Paul Lindner motioned to accept the E-Boards motion with a second from Tracy Binkley.

Motion carried 7 for 0 against.

New Business: Discussion on Local committees. Tracy suggested that we post the committees on the CWA board. Vickey read the list of committees.

Vickey discussed the meeting with Tim on December 1, 2011 including PVTO,VTO (operational) and overtime.

Good and Welfare: Please keep our members experiencing any hardships in your thoughts and prayers.

Drawing for wearing red in November will be drawn in January due to not all names available.

Ralph motioned to adjourn meeting with a second from Paul.

Motioned carried meeting adjourned at 1:20pm.

Vickey turned floor over to Election Committee Chair Tracy Binkley to swear in Officers Vickey Hoots and Darla Meyer.

President Vonda Hardy was sworn in on Friday December 9th  prior to leaving

for PHX.

Area VP Lori Manual will be sworn in at a later time
