CWA Local 3640 Membership Meeting

E -Board members in attendance: Vickey Hoots, Darla Meyer, Lori Manuel, Jerry Lindsay                 

                                                                Paul Lindner, Robin Powell, Derrick Hicks.

Darla read the minutes of Executive Board meeting January 13, 2009.

Motion to accept the minutes as read by Edith Burke with second by Tracy Binkley.

Motion carried 13 for, 0 against.

Darla read the minutes of the January 13, 2009 Membership meeting.

Motion to accept the minutes as read with correction to wrong year/changes needed by Robin Powell. Second by Paul Lindner.

Motion carried: 14 for, 0 against.

Darla read the financial report and answered questions.

Motion to accept the financial report by Tracy Binkley, second by Rich Dennis.

Motion carried: 13 for, 0 against.

Old Business: Vonda advised we are in the process of putting the membership meeting notes on our local website. We will exclude anything we feel the company should not have access to.

Vonda asked for members to look through their contracts to see what issues need to be addressed in the upcoming contract negot iations.

Committee Reports: Rich Dennis read the legislation meeting report for January 24th with discussion of EFCA.

Vonda advised the list of E-board members who will be over the committees.

New Business: Susan Clifton addressed issues about the new electronic systems. She suggested we contact CWA National asking about companies within the CWA umbrella to see if their contracts reflect the same situations.

Vonda advised members of Presidents meeting in DCA on February 13th with Annie Hill (new EVP for CWA Airline division). Also on February 24th and 25th  there will be an Association meeting in DCA. Vonda will attend both meetings.

Good & Welfare: Judy Ward’s mother and Mary Grubbs mother in law passed away.

$25.00 Red shirt drawing for January, winners are: Rhonda Bryant and Mark Eversole.

$25.00 membership attendance drawing for current meeting, winner: Robin Powell.
