CWA Local 3640 Membership Meeting
March 8, 2011
Call to Order: 6:05pm.
Pledge of Allegiance
Chairperson: President Vonda Hardy
E-Board in attendance: Vickey Hoots, Darla Meyer, Jerry Lindsay, Paul Lindner and Ralph Roby.
E-Board not in attendance: Lori Manuel and Robin Powell.

Darla read the minutes of the February 8th 2011 Membership Meeting. Pat Stewart motioned to accept the minutes as read with a second from Ralph Roby.
Motion carried: 9 for 0 against.

Darla went over and discussed the financial report for February 2011. Jerry Lindsay motioned to accept the financial report with a second from Pat Stewart.
Motion carried: 9 for 0 against.

Report of Officers: Vonda and Vickey met with management to discuss compliance. The Local is trying to get management to understand the large impact on your compliance when you get stuck on a call and miss your scheduled break time.
Discussion on the 5 minute briefing time, and how many days there is too much information to read and not enough time to read it. Donna Kostelic agreed with the Union.
Discussion on CBT’s and if you have any extra time workforce will not cover it.
Vonda discussed the E-Board meeting with Tim Lindemann earlier in the day to go over some of the issues involving our members. These issues included CSD reps not given enough training in WFE, and why the push on CSD logs. Also the lack of early morning shifts in CHP/Preferred and making it so INTL agents having to take more CHP/Preferred backup calls.
When discussing call routing Tim stated that it better utilizes all agents to have everyone handle all call types. We discussed the Manila transition when bring all calls back onshore.
Tim mentioned in the meeting that he wants to have monthly meetings with the Union.
Committees Reports: Paul read the report from the Legislative Committee meeting held February 6th. Discussions included Union busting taking place in Wisconsin and Ohio.

Old Business: Discussion on Handicap Parking and no special parking spaces provided for anyone.

New Business: Vonda discussed the upcoming “Support the Movement” friendly protest taking place April 4th. We will be on the sidewalk beside the reservations center on Hanes Mall Blvd. Vonda asked everyone to join in.

It was suggested that all stewards understand that the writing of a grievance should be done by the grievant.

Good and Welfare: Neil Everhart’s mother, John Gaylord’s father, and Patsy
Crew’s daughter passed away. Vonda asked we keep them all in our
thoughts and prayers.

Drawing for wearing red on Thursdays for February will be drawn in
April due to lack of all names from all floors.
