Membership Meetings

CWA Local 3640 Membership Meeting

September 13, 2011

Call to Order: 12:08pm.

Pledge of Allegiance

Chairperson: President Vonda Hardy

E-Board members in attendance: Vickey Hoots, Darla Meyer, Lori Manuel,   Jerry Lindsay, Paul Lindner, Lisa Zeiset and Ralph Roby.

Darla read the minutes of the July 19th 2011 Membership meeting. Jerry Lindsay motioned to accept the minutes as read with a second from Paul Lindner.

Motion carried: 8 for 0 against.

Darla went over and discussed the financial report for July 2011. Paul Lindner motioned to accept the financial report with a second from Lori Manuel.

Motion carried: 8 for 0 against.

Report of Officers: Vickey Hoots gave her report from the bargaining meeting held in PHX on July 14th.  The next meeting is scheduled for September 13th and 14th in PHX.

Vonda advised all updates on the bargaining will be on our Local website.

Committee Reports: none

Unfinished Business: Vonda asked that all stewards continue to give out and collect surveys from our members.

New Business: The floor was turned over to Tracy Binkley (Election Chair).

Tracy announced the upcoming election for our Local. The nomination meeting will be held Tuesday 13 September at 6:00pm. She advised nominees must be present to accept nomination or send a signed letter of acceptance. Tracy announced the Election Committee will be Dedrick Switzer and Pat Minoza.

Good and Welfare: Drawing for wearing red on Thursday for July.

Paul Lindner motioned to adjourn meeting with a second from Tracy Binkley.

Motion carried, meeting adjourned at 1:05pm.
